Bigger, scarier and more terror await haunted woods patrons

Bring an extra change of underwear this season to Maris Farms Haunted Woods! It will seem as though this adventure is never going to end, after an extensive renovation on nearly all aspects of the haunt attraction.

"There won't be much of a break from the insanity or the intensity," says haunt manager Miguel Meeksinara, a Japanese-Irish immigrant who has studied the haunt industry and several "real haunts" in east Asia and the Phillipines for most of his adult life. "If you thought it was just going to be the same haunt, same sets, same actors...well, you're going to be awfully surprised. You'll ask yourself, 'when is this gonna end?' and then the intensity will just increase!"

Meeksinara, 48, has spent an extraordinary amount of time and effort upgrading and updating the trails and venues the past two seasons.

"There is a lot of new stuff, some of it seems so real," Meeksinara explained. "I sometimes almost p**p my pants just working out here alone."

Yes, the 2015 version of Maris Farms Haunted Woods kicks off its 11th season on Saturday, Oct. 3rd, at 7 pm and continues on every Friday and Saturday night (as well as some additional Sunday evenings - check the calendar) through Oct. 31st.

Once again, 106.1 KISS FM is the primary sponsor and will be on site opening day/night as well as one more time (TBD) during the season. Listen for special deals throughout the season on their air.

Dates set for Harvest of Terror, plenty of new scares planned

The fall calendar is set for the 2014 Harvest of Terror at Maris Farms, and you won't want to miss the bevy of new scares that are planned for this season! Opening night is Saturday, Oct. 4th at 7 pm, and we will be open for 10 dates (possibly 11, if the weather is agreeable on Nov.1). You can go to our schedule and pricing page for full details. You will definitely want to purchase your tickets for the busiest nights (normally the second and third weekends) and may find it easier to take advantage of the less busy Sunday evenings and/or opening night. This season's theme in the woods will have you not wanting to ready any more fairy tales should you survive the 30-minute trails of terror! You may also come away with a new belief in Sasquatch! And you can take out your frustration by taking out several villages of zombies in the Monster Safari, back for the third year. The paintball-shooting, kill-thrill will take you through several small encampments (a hospital, a mall, a church, etc.) that are crawling with your favorite walking dead friends! Come enjoy another season of scares at Maris Farms this fall!

Zombie Party to replace Zombie Fun Run!

The inaugural Zombie ‘Sneak Peak’ Party at Maris Farms – a pre-season event that is to die for – is slated for Sept. 28th, at the rural farm between Bonney Lake and Buckley. It has replaced the Zombie Fun Run, which event organizers felt was scheduled much too late to organize and promote properly, let alone compete with the number of other running event options available to people. The Zombie ‘Sneak Peak’ Party is an opportunity for the south sound’s growing zombie population to gather and enjoy some food, drink and a sneak peak of the farm’s Harvest of Terror attractions during their dress rehearsal performances. You can check out details by clicking here.  The Harvest of Terror is a pair of devilish terror featuring a zombie thrill-kill attraction called The Monster Safari and a creepy walk through the corn and forest called The Haunted Woods.
